A prayer for a pure heart

God,

     Please purify my heart. I want to love like you, but my flesh gets in the way. I pray that you will rid my heart of any pride, jealousy, hate, and discontentment and replace that with peace, humility, love, and gratitude. You say that everything we do flows from our heart, so please make mine pure so my life can bring glory to you.
