Lord,

     You are worthy of praise, for you do not give as the world gives, but you offer eternal life. You are the source of peace, so I pray that you will fill me with it. The peace you give is not contingent on circumstance, but it is as sure as the resurrection. Thank you, God, for this gift. Please fill me with your peace afresh today and even when I can’t feel it, remind me that it is there.
